I love the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.
I love the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. It’s both raw and sophisticated, depending on where you are. So many fabulous restaurants and especially roof top bars. The souk is fun to see and get ready to bargain but it does get quite annoying to be constantly hassled to buy something. The carpet sellers are not funny to deal with. My advice is don’t start a conversation unless you are serious about buying. History, architecture are stunning . Easy to walk around. Recommend a guide to show you around. Favourite restaurant was le jardin du lotus, totally hip restaurant with great DJ. Best lunch roof top place was el FennKirstenFrance - 8.0Scored 8.0
Marrakech is not for everyone!
Marrakech is not for everyone! It is an assault on your nose, hearing and sight. Thousands of people use the souk everyday, as customers and sellers and if you a bit claustrophobic, this might not be the place for you. Crossing the road is a clash of personalities, yours and the drivers. However, it is a city like no other and if you love history and cultures, this is the place where to appreciate North Africa and Muslim culture (Music, art, crafts, fashion, etc etc). I have been coming here again and again, and I believe that Marrakech is the best place to get a taste of a complete exotic culture just round the corner from Europe.AAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

This was my second visit to Marrakech within a period of 9 months and I also stayed at Art Place on both occasions. It is the best location in the Medina and you'll find yourself well and truly in the middle of all the activities surrounding you. It's colourful, noisy, but the ART PALACE offers an oasis away from that, through their Golden Entrance Door which shuts off all the noise of the fascinating historic sq. Jamaa El Fnaa.

Marrakesh is a bustling alluring city with lots to do, best places to eat Nomad, El Fenn for cocktails and the rooftop. shop in the souks take a local food tour, visit the majorelle gardens and the Berber museum, have brunch in the new town Cafe 61 is nice. Take a trip to Agafay to watch the sunset or get a day pass for lunch and a pool, Inara camp is one of the best.

Marrakech is beautiful and so are the people. Just definitely believe everything you read about being hassled to pay for things you didn’t want as you will be told it’s free and it’s not. You may ask about a price for an item and they assume you want it. Shop owners will constantly ask for you to come and have a look in their shop, to buy carpet or Argan oil even though you don’t want any.

You'll either hate it or love it marrakech is not for everyone however I love it its a great place to start from if you want to see all of Morocco go to djemaa el fna and visit ourika if you have only a short journey planned it's cheap and easy to get around most taxi journeys usually cost 2 euros the food is cheap and the service amazing go to to oumnia in semlalia orits maybe 10 minutes walk from the hotel or chez ouzzani less than 5 minutesO'Reilly

But the main advantage of the hotel is it's stuff. Especially Yusuf. He was so nice to us and so helpful I can't describe. Yusuf explained us all the best options about restaurants and tours. He brought us tea and prepared there best places to seat on the rooftop and watch for sunset. His Hospitality was amazing. Probably because he is from nomad family. If we will come back to Marrakesh again it will be because of that guy.
